June 14, 15, 16: National Clinical Trial Training Program

We’re happy to invite the public to the upcoming National Clinical Trial Training Program on June 14, 15, and 16. The program is particularly helpful for site and industry representatives interested in getting a deeper understanding of how to conduct clinical trials, how to execute them well, and how to interact with professionals regarding clinical trial results.

“The Clinical Research Unit of the Montreal Neurological Institute & Hospital has developed a national training program on clinical trial management and readiness in neurological diseases. Principal Investigators, researchers, Clinical Research Coordinators, and representatives from industry are invited to attend a two-day program in Montreal covering education and training on: clinical trial readiness, investigator-initiated trial development, ethics submissions, budget and finance, development of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) and other trial outcome measures, and more. Keynote speakers will include representatives from industry, Health Canada, and leading investigators in neurology, and ethics.

The MNI/H’s Clinical Research Unit (CRU) is under the direction of Dr. Angela Genge. The CRU is involved in over 100 clinical trials in all fields of neuroscience. Its teams are experienced in Phase I-IV clinical trials, Investigator-initiated trials, bio-banking, and patient registries. The CRU has a unique model, employing specialized personnel in each of the major areas of clinical site management which encompasses finance, ethics, biological sample processing, coordination, nursing, and medical writing.”
