Research Axes

The Quebec Parkinson Network was created around three strategic groups, or axes, individually and specifically directed. Each axis is associated with a specific infrastructure accessible to all Quebec Parkinson Network members.

Axis 1, “clinical and treatment research” is codirected by Dr. Anne-Louise Lafontaine and Dr. Sylvain Chouinard. This axis is associated with the patient registry.

Axis 2 focuses on the non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. It is directed by Dr. Jean-François Gagnon and Dr. Ron Postuma. The infrastructure associated with this axis is defined by the clinical, neuroimaging, sleep and neuropsychological databases.

The third axis of the Quebec Parkinson Network focuses on molecular and cellular biology. Directed by Dr. Guy Rouleau and Francesca Cicchetti. It is associated with the biobank infrastructure.
